
Dr. Gregory Glance
Dr. Gregory Glance attended UNC-A with Bachelor’s Degrees in Chemistry and Biology (1978-1982). He received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1986 and completed Internal Medicine Residency at Moses Cone Hospital in 1989. From 1989 until 1993, he was in solo practice in Asheville, and then joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 1993. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Glance enjoys hiking, traveling, family, and spending time with his wife Elizabeth.

Dr. Sara Caldwell
Dr. Sara Caldwell joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 2016. She received her undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from UNC-Asheville in 2009. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2013. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in 2016. Dr. Caldwell is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is an Asheville native, and currently lives in Fairview with her husband, Brett, and their dog, Wicket.

Sara Cobb
Sara Cobb PA-C is a new addition to the team at Asheville Internal Medicine. A graduate from Seton Hall University, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2013 and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016. Sara spent six years post-grad practicing primary care in New Jersey, but is excited to now be continuing her career here in Asheville. She is also licensed to perform DOT medical exams and CDL certifications. Sara is a lover of travels, animals, and weekend hikes.

Karen Diez
Karen Diez joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 2019. She received a degree in Exercise Science from Lander University in 1996. Karen started her nursing career in 2001 after receiving her Associate in Nursing from Greenville Technical College. She received her Bachelor of Nursing from Western Carolina University in 2013. Karen worked as a RN on 5 Heart at Mission Hospital for 17 years before completing her Master’s in Nursing at East Tennessee State University in 2018. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Karen enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with family, especially her husband and son.

Tim Haren
Tim first called Asheville his home in 2014 after spending 10 years in the US Army Special Forces. He earned his undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from the University of North Carolina Asheville. Tim left Asheville to complete his education, earning his Master of Physician Assistant Sciences at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. He worked as a PA in rural Southern Oregon before moving back to Asheville with his family in 2022. In his free time, Tim can be found enjoying the beauty of WNC and the surrounding areas with his wife, kids, and their dog Theo.

Kelly Bowers
Kelly received her Bachelor‘s Degree in Neuroscience in 2017 at a small liberal arts college in Virginia, where she was born and raised. She moved to Asheville in the fall of 2021 after graduating with her Master’s Degree from High Point University and becoming a board-certified Physician Assistant. She is transitioning to internal medicine after nearly two years of managing patients in a busy urgent care setting, where she enjoyed treating both acute and chronic illnesses and performing hands-on procedures in the clinic. When not at work, Kelly enjoys being outdoors, playing volleyball and exploring the Asheville area with her dog, Nettle.

Brittany Ray
Brittany Ray is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 2014. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in 2009. She worked as a progressive care cardiac/heart failure nurse for several years before receiving her Masters in Nursing in 2014. She is married with three children and enjoys time with her family.

Suzanne Warpula
Suzanne started her career in nursing as a registered nurse in Florida, after graduating from nursing school in 2005. She relocated to Asheville in 2008, where she continued to work as a registered nurse in the hospital setting. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Carolina University in 2013 and her Master of Science in Nursing at ETSU in 2018. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She started working at Asheville Internal Medicine in July of 2018. She lives in Asheville with her husband, Glenn and their puppy, Archie.

Bethany Gosnell
Bethany Gosnell, MHA/MBA joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 2022 as practice manager. She received her Masters of Healthcare Administration/Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2017. She has been in healthcare 15+ years and is a native of Asheville. She uses her positive attitude to encourage others to work hard and succeed. She is inspired daily by her grandchildren.

Dr. Erica Mabry
Erica is a clinical pharmacist with In-Clinic Rx who works at Asheville Internal Medicine. She graduated in 2021 from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania with her Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD). She completed a post-graduate year 1 community-based pharmacy residency with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Eden Drug in Eden, NC. At the office, Erica works closely with the staff to help manage chronic conditions by assisting to coordinate care, optimize medications, and educate patients about their condition(s) and medication through Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). In her free time, Erica enjoys going for walks with her dog, Hank, and reading.
